Real Estate Blog Pro is owned and operated by yours truly, Jay Thompson — better known in the real estate blog space as The Phoenix Real Estate Guy (TPREG).
TPREG was born on May 8, 2005. It wasn’t the first real estate blog, but you had to dig pretty deep to find one back then.
Since that time, TPREG has morphed and evolved into one of the most widely read real estate blogs in the country. It’s not your typical real estate blog — but then again every blog is different. Maybe. Hopefully.
I could blather on about the awards and recognition TPREG has received — it makes it onto various flavors of “Best Of” lists, and in 2009 Inman News gave TPREG the “Most Innovative Blog” award, replete with a little marble and crystal trophy.
Awards, while fun and ego-stroking, aren’t the point. The real point is a real estate blog is to generate business.
And TPREG does that.
As a result of that success, and also due to my rather large mouth and serial commenting and Twittering habits, I get a significant number of questions from folks all over the country. How, why, where, when, what . . . lots and lots of questions about real estate blogging.
I love to help people become more successful in their blogging endeavors. So the thought has been rolling around in my brain for quite some time to build a blog that is basically dedicated to real estate blogging.
Yeah, just what the internet needs, another blog on blogging.
Hopefully this one, since it’s targeted to a specific niche, will be useful to those in that niche. Yeah, real estate is local. But there are some fundamental (actually, advanced too) concepts that can be applied to a real estate blog no matter where the author lives, works, plays and does business.
We’ll see. Ultimately I’d like to build a little archive of information here. A repository of sorts for those seeking thoughts, opinions and advice on this wacky world of real estate blogging.
